Repair Station

Merrill Aviation & Defense supports a full service 14 CFR, Part 145 FAA certified Repair Station with unlimited capabilities. We are a certified aviation facility to overhaul and repair components and assemblies.

Overhaul and repair capabilities include:

  • Landing Gear & Component overhaul service- Experience with Boeing 747, 727, 737, 757, McDonald Douglas DC10, and MD-80 types.
  • Powerplants- Experience with Pratt & Whitney JT9D, JT8D, Garrett TPE331
  • Limited Airframe- Boeing
  • Nondestructive testing- MT Wet Fluorescent Continuous & Residual IAW ASTM E-709 & ASTM E-1444 Bench or Yoke. PT Liquid Fluorescent & Visible Dye Penetrant Inspection IAW ASTM E-165 & ASTM E-1417
  • Specialized Service Machining- Machining raw materials and/or components for repair or fabrication only IAW OE maintenance. Overhaul and SPM manuals and customer specified approved data.
  • Specialized Service Welding- Welding raw materials and/or components for repair or fabrication only IAW AWS D17.1:2001, MILSTD 410E and best practices prescribed in the OE manuals.
